IMPREST SUPPLY BILL. ! (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, September 24. The House, in the afternoon and evening, discussed the Imprest Supply Bill, and members trotted out all their grievances that have been aired over and over again. On the motion for going into Com-- s mittee of Supply, Mr W. Herries and other members of the Opposition wanted the fullest information regarding the travelling expenses and allowances of officers and also as to the cost of the Exhibition and the complaints respecting the railway service. The-Premier, in reply, said that he courted the fullest investigation with regard to the Exhibition expenditure. He had already explained the travelling expenses of the service, and intended to bring down proposals to deal with the railway service. The Bill having been introduced in Committee, its second reading stage was moved and is now (11 p.m ) being debated.
