BAND CONTEST.
By Telegraph—Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, September IG. The Secretary of the Band Contest Committee is advised that it is not the Association's intention to grade the bands in the Quickstep Competition, and that endeavours are being made to get one or more of the following four Australian bands to compete:—Code's Band, Melbourne; VV. G. Bentley's Military Band, New South Wales; Newton Brass Band and Newcastle Brass Band.
