INFANT LIFE PROTECTION.
(By Telegraph—Parliamentary Correspondent.)
WELLINGTON,, September 12. In the Legislative Council, to-day, Dr. Collins, closed the discussion cm ". '"' motion respecting infunt life section. He generally approved of the Attorney-General's proposals. He urged the registration of births in cities within three days. While it would be unwise to do anything to .check carriages, he thought it would bepossible to have a certificate issued to people about to marry so that though it might not prevent unsuitable marriages it would let each party know the condition of the health of the other. . The motion was carried.
