WELLINGTON KENNEL CLUB.
ANNUAL SHOW. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 12. The Wellington Kennel Club's annual show opened yesterday in the Drilhhed, and closes to-morrow night. The show is generally considered the largest and best ever held in the colony. The judge, Mr Court Rice, of Sydney, finished his task this evening. The following are the winners of the chamuionships:— English S Q tters—Dog, W. Loutitt'sLyltelton Ned- bitch, G. Wells' Richmond Rippla. Skve Terrier —Dog, B. Mc- ! Cracken's Jock o' Hazelane; bitch, W. Jorgenson's Shellah. Scottish Terriers—Dog, J. A. Pike's Bracken Rob Roy; bitch, Miss Jessie Hunter's Bracken Lady Grizel. Irish Terriers—Dog, W. J. Harper's Ponsinby Phenomenon; bitch, C. E. Hanson's Blazer The following special prizes were awarded: —Citizen's cup for best Irish Terrier dos W J. Harper, Auckland; citizen cup for best Irish Terrier bitch, C. E Hanson, Auckland; silver cup forbe«t sporting dog or bitch, G. Pudney, Wellington; silver cup for best non-sporting dog or bitch, C. E. Cutts, Wellington; silver cup for the best brace of pointers, P. H- Smith, Wellington;, silver cup for best brace of English Setters, A. G. Wells, Feilding; gold medal for best Irkh ' Terrier bitch, J. O'Neill, Wesfport; challenge shield for the best Scottish Terrier, dog or bitch, J. A. Pike, Wellington; silver cup for the best Skye Terrier puppy bred in New Zealand, L. M. Landsborough; trophy for the best Scottish Terrier in the show of opposite sex to the winner of the challenge shield, Miss Jessie Hunter; silver cup for New Zealand-bred bulldcg, C. E. Cutts, Wellirgton; silver cup for the best bulldog bitch in the open classes, C. E. Cutts, Wellington; trophy for the best bulldog in the show, C. E. Cutts, Wellington.
