OBITUARY.
MR EDWARD GRIEG
Received September 6, 7.36 a.m, LONDON, September 5,
The death is announced ot Mr Edward Grieg, musical Mr Grieg died suddenly. (Edward Grieg, whose pianoforte compositions and songs are to be found in nearly every musical household, was a Norwegian, and lived at Bergen. He was close on seventy years of age, and had ceased composing. Grieg was a fine pianist, and paid several visits to England in that capacity. It is interesting to note that he was descended from the famous Scotch Admiral, John Grieg.)
