THE FEDERAL TARIFF.
Received August 30, 7.21 a.m. LONDON, August 29. The Council of the 'Nest Australian Mineowners' Association has requested the Agent-General to transmit a strenuous protest against the duties under the new tariff. Mining companies, representing eleven millions of capital, have informed Mr Rason, Agent-General for West Australia, that the new tariff has penalised Kalgoorlie companies alone by £50,000 a year. ;
