ALLEGED ASSAULT.

By Telegraph—Press Association. WOODVILLE, August 19. A bricklayer, named George Perfect, is alleged to have brutally assaulted his nephew, named Arthur Hope, on Friday evening. They were living in the same house, and without a word having been said, Perfect struck Hope on the head with a piece of iron over two feet in length. Luckily Hope was not rendered unconscious at the time, and he closed with Perfect, and after a severe struggle managed to save himself from further injury, but he badly knocked Perfeit about before assistance arrived. Both men t;ad to have their wounds sewn up by a doctor. Perfect was arrested and brought before the Court on Saturday. The case was remanded, as Hope was too ill to appear.
