Received August 12, 10.15 a.m. SYDNEY, August 11. Webb, the sculling 1 champion, is a passenger by the Monowai. He received a hearty send off. PROBABLE PUBLIC RECEPTION IN WELLINGTON. ,By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 12. The steamer Monowai is unlikely to reach Wellington from Sydney before Thursday morning. The Mayor of Wellington will make an effort to publicly welcome Webb, the champion sculler of the world, on Thursday .morning, but if the Wanganui citizens cannot postpone their welcome. -a motor-car will be provided to take Webb therp.
