WAR-LIKE PRINCE. Received August 12, 9.50 a.m. LONDON, August 11. Britain aed Russia have urged the Porte to withdraw its troops from Persian territory. Received CONSTANTINOPLE, August 12. Advice has been received that the frontier commissioners will shortly anquire into the Mewan affair between Turkey and Persia. Each country [Jhas given s pledge that it will punish its own officers if found guilty. On the other it is announced at Teheran that Prince Firma, the new Governor of Azerbraifan, has raised, at his own expense, 10,000 men in readiness to proceed to the frontier. The Prince has refused Parliament's offer of £15,000 towards the initial expenses of the expedition.
