SHELLED BY TURKISH INVADERS.
A CHRISTIAN VILLAGE DESTROYED. Received August 8, 10.45 p.m. TEHERAN, August 8. Turkish invaders shelled and destroyed the Christian village of Mewan, killing 90, including women and children. The invaders carried off ten girls. The invaders are now marching to Urumiyah. Persia is appealing to the Powers.
