THE DISCONTENT IN BELFAST.
Received August 8, 8.28 a.m. LONDON, August 7. The military have occupied the chief squares and thoroughfares of Belfast. Employers object to negotiating with trade unions. They contend that these are merely political and religious organisations in disguise, and the employers will resist any systerrt of makng religious or political tests a condition of employment.
