HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES' The House met at 2.30 p.m. LAND AGENrS BILL.. The Land Agents Bill was committed. In the interpretation clause,, Mr Witty carried an amendment that "auctioneer" means owner of a. license, and does not include: any agent instructed by him to sell. No further progress was made up to the dinner adjournment, much time being; taken up with points of order. *» l ii I mi EVENING SITTING. The House resumed at 7.30 p.m. An hour's discussion occurred overclause 4, "Applicationsfor License," which was eventually amended by striking out the sub-section that applicants for a license should provide a fidelity bond of £SOO. In clause 5, "Licenses," an amendment to makethe fees payable to the local authorities was passed. The House then adjourned for supper. At 11 o'clock the Committee were still on Clause 5, and there is little prospect of any useful progress!, during the sitting.
