MASTERTON CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY.

ANNUAL REPORT. The following is the annual report of the Masterton Co-operative Dairy Company, to be submitted to the annual meeting of shareholders on August 7th:—Your directors have pleasure in placing before you the sixth annual report and balance-sheet to be presented at the annual meeting of shareholders, to be held in the A. and P. Rooms, Street, Masterton, on Wednesday, 7th day of August, 1907, at 2 p.m. After making the necessary provision .for depreciation there remains to profit and loss account the sum of £l9l 15s 6d. The Directors recommend the payment of a dividend at the rate of six per cent, on paid-up capital, 30th June, 1906, which will absorb £BO 2s, and leave £lll 13s 6d to be carried forward. You will notice that a large sum of called-up capital is in arrears. It is the intention of your Directors to take stringent action in reference to the same. During the past season the butter-fat received ut factory amounted to 216,7041b, from which 243,8051b of butter was manufactured, representing an over-run of 10.9. It must be satisfactory to know that the season's output was all graded first-class., a fact which reflects great credit on the care and skill exercised by our manager, Mr Windle. The question of installing an ice-snaking plant for the ensuing summer season should engage the immediate attention of the incoming Directors. A great demand for ice for various purposes in Masterton is constantly experienced, and your Directors are of opinion that the installation would prove very remunerative. During the past year Messrs J. A. Renall, Wm. Perry and T. Wyeth resigned their positions on the Directorate, and two of the vacancies occasioned thereby were temporarily filled by Messrs J. Graham and W. H. Buick. You will be asked to fill these three The retiring Directors this year, in accordance with the ru'es. are Messrs H. C. Bertelsen, R. Thompson, and J. Baron, who are eligible fo: re-elec-tion. Mr Bertelsen, on account of leaving the district, does not seek reelection. An auditor will also have to be appointed.
