THE RECENT FIRE.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—l notice I in your paper that my loss in the lire was estimated at £7O. I wish to inform the public that I was the heaviest loser over the fire. My personal property alone would amount to nearly £7O, as all my wife escaped in was her nightgown, and myself what I stood in. All our personal effects were totally destroyed, including all our weddirg presents. Then, "again, I paid £BO m February to buy the lease of the premises, which was for three and a half years, also £3O for erecting a brick sausage-house at the rear of the premises. So, therefore, you will see that my loss is nearer £2OO, without considering the loss through being thrown out of business. I am, etc ALFRED REBAY.
