PERMANENT INVESTMENT ASSOCIATION.
• The annual meeting of the Permanent Investment and Loan Association of Wairarapa was held yesterday afternoon at Greytown. There were present: —Messrs W. H. Diddams (chairman), D. P. Loasby, M. Elgar, C. B. Pharazyn ai d J,. R. Nicol. , The annual report, which read as follows, was adopted:—The balancesheet which your directors are now presenting, shows a larger profit than declared last year, which may therefore be considered satisfactory. The amount on mortgage is now £5,101 14s, the securities for which are ample. The number of investment shares now current is 1.362—233 shares having been paid off and 128 new onss taken up during the year. In March last Mr C. Elgar resigned his seat on the Board, and Mr Martin Elgar was appointed in his place. In accordance with the rules, Messrs M. Caselberg, C. B. Pharazyn, and M. Elgar retire from the directory, and being eligible offer themselves for re-election. Messrs M. Caselberg, C. B. Pharazyn andM. Elgar were re-elected directors. Messrs Mark Maxton and H. Dudding were re-elected auditors.
