The Frozen Meat Trade Association's Smithfield market quotations for the under-mentioned classes of frozen meats are based on actual sales of not less than 100 carcases of mutton or lamb or 25 carcases of beef of fair average quality. These quotations are not for selected linos, but for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of shipments now on the market: — New 7 Zealand sheep, crossbred ■wethers and maiden ewes, Carterbury, light (48 to 561b) 4|d; Canterbury, medium (56 to 641b), 4§d; Canterbury, heavy (64 to 721b), 31d. Southland not quoted. North Island, best 3 13-lGd. Lamb—Canterbury, light (28 to 361b); s£d; Canterbury, medium, s§d; Canterbury heavy (36 to 421b), 5 3-16 d. Southland and North Island not quoted. New Zealand beef, ox fores (180 to 2201b), 3 l-16d; ox hinds (180 to 2201b), unchanged. River Plate sheep 215-16 d, light 3Jd. Beef, forequarters, 3d; hind•quarters, unchanged.
