FOOTBALL.
A practice will be held by members of the Masterton Club in the Boxing Hall, to-morrow (Wednesday) evening. The senior members are specially requested to be in attendance with a view to taking part in the Carterton match, on Saturday. The juniors desiring to play against Ruahine and Maryborough must also attend.

DUNEDIN, July 1. The following dates have been fixed for the inter-provincial football matches here:—August 24th, Canterbury; August 31st, Auckland; September 21st. Wellington. The match with Southland will probably be played on September 14th, while Otago will i>lav at Invercargill on either August 28th or September 4th. Wairarapa will be offered either September 7th or September 28th. If these dates are not suitable to the Wairarapa team, the match will probably not be played.

WOODVILLE. July 1. Saturday's match between Woodville and Dannevirke Excelsiors decided the championship for the season, Woodville winning by 13 to nil. Wood/ille juniors have already won the junior championship. This is the second season that Woodville has won the senior championship, and the third season they have won the junior championship.
