MASTERTON STOCK SALE.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows on their Masterton stock sale, held yesterday : Notwithstanding the exceedingly rough weather sheep came forward well up to advertised numbers. Buyers were present in good numbers, and we had a most satisfactory sale, every lot offered meeting with keen competition. A total clearance was made under the hammer. Few cattle were yarded, but bidding was dull and not much business was done. We quote:— Sheep: Fat ewes 16s to 17s 6d, ewes in* lamb 15s, twotooth mixed sexes (small) 15s to 17s 9d for best, others 13s lid to 14s 9d, store ewes 7s 3d to 14s lOd, wethers 16s 6d, best hoggets 15s, others lis 8d to 12s 3d. Cattle: Weaners 17s 6d to 30s.
