THE FAMOUS DENILIQUIN STUD PARK.
1,200-GUINEA RAM—DONALD DINNIE. The sheep-owning community in every part of the world never fails to become interested in details concerning the most famous sheep in existence and the methods pursued in the management of them. To the courtesy of Mr S. E. Donelan, manager of Deniliquin Stud Park, we are indebted (through Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Melbourne) for the following particulars re the treatment of the renowned merino ram "Donald Dinnie," sold recently by Mr Thos. Millar to the proprietors of Canowie Estate, South Australia, for the handsome sum of 1,200 guineas—i.e.: "Deniliquin Stud Park, "Deniliquin. N.S.W. "Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Melbourne. "Dear Sirs,—ln reply to yours regarding the dipping of the Stud Park 1,200 guinea ram, I have pleasure in stating that he was dipped in Quibell's, which dip I have used here for five seasons, and found satisfactory. "(Signed) S. E. DONELAN, Manager." The attention of sheep-breeders is specially directed to the fact that the most valuable sheep in the world to-day are from flocks where Quibell's Dips are regularly used. We need only mention the following, viz. : Mr Henry Dudding's (Ruby Grove, England) Lincoln two-tooth ram of last year, sold for 1,405 guineas, the highest price ever paid for a longwool sheep. Mr Thos. Millear's two-year-old merino ram, sold recently for 1,200 guineas. Mr John S. Horsfall's 1,000-guinea ram and the 200-guinea merino ewe from the same flock, the latter being the record price for a merino ewe./ Mention need only be made of the names of the above famous flockowners to convey to the mind of the average pastoralist all that is best and most up-to-date in the way of sheep management. Full particulars of the splendid dip referred to can be obtained from Messrs Dalgety and Co., who are agents throughout the North Island.*
