Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale, at Pahiatua, on Tuesday, when a moderate entry of sheep and cattle was submitted. Bidding was brisk, and with two exceptions all lines were cleared under the hammer. Sound-mouth ewes in lamb reached 15s sd, culls 5s to 7s 6d, small hoggets 8s Bd, 3&-year bullocks 100s, 18-month and 2-year steers 545, mother-reared weaner steers 365, mother-reared weaner heifers 20s, aged empty cows 23s to 255, cows in calf 455.
