» By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 13. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union, to-night, the disqualifications imposed by the Otago and Southland Unions were rrlade general. In reply to the Wellington Rugby Union's request for a ruling explaining under what conditions an individual might receive monetary consideration for service rendered to a football organisation and still retain his amateur status, it was decided to reply that monetary consideration may be received by any such person without destroying his amateur status so long as he does not play football.
The New Zealand Rugby Union has appointed Mr Edgar Wylie manager of the New Zealand team that is to tour Australia. Messrs Galbraith (Treasurer, of the Union) and Wylie will represent the Union at the Conference in Sydneyjjof Australasian Unions, when a new agreement will be drawn up.
It was decided to allow members of the team three shillings per day each travelling allowance. If possible a match will be arranged for July 6th between the New Zealand team and the Wellington Province.
