O'NEILLS' BUCK-JUMPERS.
. * —. — The buck-jumping exhibition of the O'Neill Bros, was concluded in Masterton. last evening, before a large audience. The programme was much the same as that given on the previous evening. "Mexican Bill" gave a skilful exhibtion of horse-lassooing and rope manipulating. His tricks with a length of rope were loudly applauded. There were six entrants for the arhateur riding competition. Of these only Mr J. O'Brien, of Bourke, New South Wales, who, the ring-master said, "had ridden a bull in Bourke when it was 108 degrees in the shade," kept his seat on an "outlaw" for the required time, and was paid.£l by the management. Tricks by the pony ."Sandow," the performance of "Joey" the clown with his donkey "Janey," and the exhibition of high-jumping were all outstanding features of a good programme. Mr S. O'Neill i,iu»«u himself a good horseman when he rode the animal purchased from Mr T. Miller. The horse bucked violently, and fell, but still the rider kept his seat, and was warmly applauded.
