An enjoyable entertainment was given in S. Matthew's Schoolroom last evening,, by the Y.M.C.A. Dramatic Club, the proceeds of which are to Jbe divided between the Y.M.C.A. and S. Matthew's Sunday School. The programme was the same as that recently produced in the Town Hall, ana was witnessed by a large audience. After Misses E. Richards and W. Jones had played an overture, a humoi*ous duologue, "A Pair of Lunatics," was staged. Miss N. Joy took the part of Clara Manners and Mr Sydney Earee' filled the role of Captain Fielding. Both parts well, and kept the audience in roars of laughter. A laughable comedy, entitled, "The Two Swindlers," was staged. The various characters were well sustained by Miss B. Joy and Messrs F. Todd, S. Earee, E. Burrows, G. Rees, L. Seer and A. Rees. In the remaining piece, "The Blind Beggars," the characters were well sustained by Messrs S. Earee and Stephens. During the evening songs were sung by Miss N. Joy and Mr J. Gray (encored). Mr S. Earee rendered a musical monologue, entitled, "His Only Joke," in fine style. The accompaniments were played by Miss E. Richards and Mrs Earee. The entertainment was brought to a conclusion with the singing of the National Anthem.
