A meeting of the ladies' committee of the Catholic Social was held in the Presbytery yesterday afternoon. Some twenty members were present, and apologies were received from others, who were unable to attend. The reports received, were most encouraging, and promise well for the success of the social.. To. make provision for the large number it is anticipated will be present at the social, it was decided to arrange; with the Misses Whitcombe for the: use of their tea-rooms to be used as a. supper room, and set aside the large rooms adjoining the dance room as card rooms. The matter of attending, to the different games was left to the Rev. Dean McKenna and the Secretaries, Messrs Dupre and Darroch..
