KELLY GANG PICTURES.
It is announced in another column that Messrs J. and N. Tait, the wellknown Australian entrepreneurs, whose introduction of the famous Besses o' the Barn Band is still vividly recollected by Masterton residents, will present on Monday next their latest bioscope venture, entitled "The Story of the Kelly Gang," at the Town Hall, Masterton. This picture, which'is stated to be the finest animated picture ever produced in Australia, has been shown to immense audiences in Australia, and ia ■ pronounced by those who have been ' actively engaged in the chase and capture of this notorious gang of lawbreakers true to facts. It has taken Messrs Tait's operators over six months to complete the picture, and its cost is said to exceed the sum of .£I,OOO. At times over fifty people were engaged thereon, and the Victorian Government hired a special train to Messrs l 4 ait to give a realistic representation of an attempt to wreck a train at Glenrowan. The company is reported to have done record business in all the southern •towns. The box plan is open at Miss ■ Rive's.
