A woman, named Eva Millen, together with her daughter (Mrs Moore) and her daughter Olga, were poisoned at Paddington through gas escaping in a room. Mrs Millen is I dead, and the others are in a critical condition. Mrs Millen's husband is supposed to be in New Zealand. A TRAMCAR FATALITY. Received May 28, 8.44 am. FREMANTLE, May 24. The brakes failing, a tramcar left the rails and dashed into a fence. A man named Fallon was killed, and his wife, another passenger, and the motorman were injured. DROUGHT IN NEW SOUTH WALES. Received May 28, 8.44 a.m. SYDNEY, May 28. Owing to drought in the Wagga district, some flocks have been reduced 50 per cent. Lambs and old ewes are being killed off through shortness of feed.
