'** The following will represent; the Garry Owen HocKey Club against Featherston, at Lansdowne, to-day: —Misses M. Hourigan, M. Stempa, A. Stempa, M. Coyle, N. Coyle, M. Collins, K. Hanley, K. O'Leary, N. O'Leary, V. O'Connetl, R. Chapman. Emergencies—Misses M. O'Toole and F. Clune.
The team to represent the Huia Club, in their match against the High School, will be selected from the following:—Misses M. Sutton, B. Hooper, E. Barr, M. Smith, H. Blomquist, V. Edwards, A. Hester, H. lorry, W. Rayner, F. Winzenberg, J. La Roche, D. Moore, M. Fuller, an ..I 0. Richards. A team will be picked from the following to represent the Knox Hockey Club in the Cup match against the Kia Kaha. at Lansdowne, to-day:—Rev. A. T. Thompson, J. Gray, T. W. Maxwell, W. L. Joy, G. F. Rawson, H. R. Millar, 0. Ibbetson, F. Miller, A. Dixon, J5 Winchester, S. Harris and J. Berry. The following team will represent United against W.F.C.A., to-day, at Lansdowne:—Hatch, Reea, Denton, Nicol, Carley, Eagar, Winter, Toobey, Olds, Baker and Hooper.
SATURDAY HOCKEY. CLUB FORMED IN MASTERTON. A meeting of those interested in the formation of a Saturday 'Hockey Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms last evening. Mr J. B. Brown occupied the chair, and there was a f. J attendance. It was decided to form a Saturday Hockey Club, and to call it the Tui Club. It was resolved that the club's uniform be a jersey with navy blue sash and white knickers. The following officers were elected: —President, Mr A. CL Major; vicePresidents, Messrs W. A. Fendall, W. H. Jackson, andPragnell; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr J. B. Brown. It was considered, judging by the membership, that the club would be able to put two strong teams in the field.
The matter of securing a ground was left in the hands of the Secretary. It was resolved to open the season with a practice next Saturday. The election of committees was held over till next Wednesday evening, when another meeting will be held.
A voto of thanks waa passed to a local firm for presenting a stick to the club for competition. The meeting concluded with ■ a vote of thanks to t the Y-M.C.A. for the use of the room.
