GREAT BOWLING FEAT.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Received JMay 20, 8.48 a.m. LONDON, May 39. In the cricket match Kent versus Somerset, Fielder took fourteen wickets for 18 runs. (Fielder, the Kent professional, who is still a young man, was with the last English team that visited Australia, but did not do anything extraordinary. Last season, however, saw a great improvement in him, and on his figures he was the best fast bowler in England. In one match, Gentlemen v. Players, he took all the Gentlemen's wickets in one innings.) PLAYERS v. BOARD. Received May 20, 10.23 a.m. MELBOURNE, May 20. Members of the Board of Cricket Control are hostile fco the players' demand for a change in the Board's constitution. They declare that if the players persist the Board will cancel the visit of the English team.
