HOCKEY.

KIA KAHA v. UNITED

The Kia Kaha and United hockey teams played a match, at Lansdowne, yesterday afternoon. The game resulted in a draw, each team scoring a goal. Baker scored for United and Williams for Kia Kaha. Both teams showed good form, but Kia Kaha had the best of the game. Mr S. Noble-Campbell acted as referee.

W.F.C.A. v. KNOX CHURCH

W.F.C.A. defeated Knox Church in a match played at Lansdowne, yesterday, by three goals to nil. The game was fairly fast and keenly contested throughout. Mr W. J. Vernon was referee.

The ladies' teams— Huia, Garry Owen and Glengarry—held successful practices on their respective grounds yesterday and should be in good form by the time the championship matches commence.
