MADAME BLANCHE ARRAL.
Madame Blanche Arral, who is to give a concert at Masterton on Monday night, although possessing a Continental reputation as a singer, was until recently unknown to the people of Australasia. An exchange says that Madame Arral came to Australia unheralded, and at one bound lept into public favour. Ovations and showers of flowers have been the reward of this great artiste. Madame Arral enacts grand arias and scenes in magnificent costumes, accompanied by an orchestra of picked instrumentalists. Included in the programme for Monday will be "Si J. Etaisßoi," "Faust," "Manolo," "Romeo and Juliet," "Serenade de Gounod," "Carmen," and selections from Thomas' famous opera, "Mignon." Herr Paans, the brilliant violinist, and Signor Torzillo the celebrated harpist, and Jean Stewarti will play as solos "Fest Polonaise," (violin), "Authum" (harp), "Massinella" (flute).
