DEATH ON A FOOTBALL FIELD.

By Telegraph—Press Association. OAMARU, April 18. A lad, named Oliver Ward, aged 13 years, a telegraph messenger, died suddenly while playing football this afternoon. He had been playing a hard game, bu 4 - feeling unwell walked off the field, telling the touch-line umpire that he had had enough of it. Shortly afterwards he began to stagger, and vomited, and almost immediately expired. It was thought that he had been kicked during the game, but no bruise could be found on the body.
