NATIONAL DEFENCE LEAGUE.
By Telegraph—Press Association. ■ NEW PLYMOUTH, April 10. At well-attended public meeting, to-night, under the auspices of the National Defence League, it was resolved, on the motion of Mr Jennings, M.H.R.: "That this meeting thoroughly endorses the sentiments promulgated by the National League ■of New Zealand in the direction of the defence of the British Empire in general and New Zealand in parr ticular, and pledges itself to support the principle that those who are proud to receive the benefits of the British flag should be prepared to support dd sustain the same, and for this purpose advocate the universal military traning of all citizens."
