VANCOUVER CARGO SERVICE.
By Telegran! —Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 10. Captain Jenkins, of the Alley Line •steamer Bucentaur, states that the weather was exceptionally bad when he called at Vancouver at the end of February. Owing to the snowing-up ■of trains no European mails had been received for a fo tnight, and up till the day when tie Bucentaur sailed (March 6th) the train 3 were getting through with considerable irregularity. The Bucentaur shipped 700 tons ; of cargo at Vancouver for New Zealand ports. All the cargo was picked ■up during the last few days; Some - 2,000 tons which had been booked for the ship was snowed up on the railways in the interior. The Bucentaur had to depart without this freight. The Pondo, which was leaving Van •«ouver on April 28 th, would have a large cargo for New Zealand.
