THE KING AND QUEEN.
Received April 8, 8.14 a.m. PARIS, April 7,
King Edward and Queen Alexandra are at Toulon, where they received the Admirals of the French Mediterranean Squadron. Afterwards King Edward expressed a wish to visit the battleship Jena (on which the recent fatal explosion occurred) not in a spirit of curiosity, but as a sentiment of respect for and as a tribute to the memory of the victims. King Edward and his suite throughout examined the Jena. The Royal yacht Victoria and Albert has sailed for Cartagena (an historic seaport and the chief arsenal of Spain) to meet King Alfonso.
