.- -#• By Telegraph—Press Association. GISBORNE, April 7. The Te Aute (Association's conference concluded last night, when a good deal of general business was disposed of. The following officers wereelected: —President, Mr J. Thornton; VicePresidents, Revs. H. W. Williams, and A. F. Williams; Secretary, Mr Pine Tamahere; Treasurer, Mr P. Cogne; Committee, Mr Ngata, M.H.R., Messrs Halbert, Tomoana and the Revs. Nikora Tautau and Bennett. Native schools were applied for at Mahia (a kindergarten) and Te Reinga.
