Results : New Zealand Waterloo Cup.— First round—J. F. Libley's Bugle Call beat F. Biel's Tutanekai, J. Flynn's Other Days beat F. Biel's Gibraltar, H. Goodman's Nine of Diamonds beat J. Hodgkin's Port Arthur, J. Walsh's Bucephalus ran a bye L. Wilson's Forlorn Hope being withdrawn, R. Young's Oarsman beat W. Goss' Content, R. W. Greenslade's Continuance beat W. H. Thomas' Royal Sport, A. E. Wilton's Crimson Rambler beat W. Sumpter's Fog Signal, G. G. Todd's Reunion beat J. Westerman's Noble Lady, N. Price's Feu de Joie beat W. Anderson's Rosenecrade, J. E. Fitzgerald's Laburnum beat A. Cox's Rotoiti, Centre and Jackson's Erin's Pride beat Fairburn and Brown's Long Tom, W. Goss' Caleb Fry beat T. Sturt's Waitoti, W. Irving's Rufford beat J. J. Sponge Cake and Dough Boy were withdrawn. The meeting will be continued tomorrow, when the second and third rounds of the Waterloo Cup will be decided.
