MASTERTON ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Masterton Orchestral Society was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms last evening. Mr J. Candy occupied the chair, and there were about sixteen members present. The balance sheet, which was adopted, showed that liabilities amounting to £27 had been paid oft' during the year, and there was now a credit balance of £3. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr J. A. Renall; President, Dr. W. H. Hosking; Vice-Presidents, Messrs F. Maunsell, W. H. Jackson, W. A. Pendall, P. G. Moore, C. 3. Daniell, P. L. Holilngs, Wm. JBeetham, M. Caselberg, A. R. Bunny and Rev. Dean McKenna; Conductor, Mr J. Candy; Secretary, Mr A. G. Wise; Treasurer, Mr A. W. Russell; Committee, Messrs J. Candy, R. Boyes, H. Inns, J. Barrett, M. R. Varnham and A. W. Russell; Librarian, Mr R. Boyes. Messrs J. Candy, A. W. Russell, R. Boyes and M. R. Varnham were appointed a committee to frame new rules. Seven new members were elected.
