WANGANUI RAM FAIR.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WANGANUI, February 14. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. began their annual ram fair today. There was a very large attendance and prices for Lincoln rams, particularly studs, ruled high. For other breeds there was not much competition. For Lincoln studs Mr W. H. Wybourne topped the market at 58§gns, his 20 rams averaging £29 3s 3d; Wm. Perry's highest price was 51£gns, a line of 12 averaging £35 0s lOd; W. Rayner's highest price 50gns, average for 11 rams £2l 19s sd; B. Rayner's highest price, 30gns, average for six £2l 14s; McGregor Bros', highest price, 35Jgns, average price £2B 4s sd. The highest prices for Flock Lincoln rams were: —W. H. Wybourne, £l3 lis 2d; G. V. Pearce, £9 6s lOd; John Peat, £6 19s 6d; others down to £3 3s 6d. The highest; average for Romneys was 6|gns.
