Poultry: Table roosters 4s, cockerels 4s 6d to ss, table hens 3s, chicks 2s 6d, ducks 4s, geese ss, all at per pair. Turkey gobblers lOd, hens Bd, live | weight. Dressed poultry: Roosters | 7d, hens sd, turkey'gobblers lOd, hens Bd. ALFREDTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale at the Alfredton yards, yesterday, when about 3,000 sheep came forward. There was a large attendance, but outside buyers were not |in strong evidence, owing, doubtless, to the Pahiatua races. The entry chiefly comprised store lambs and wethers. Bidding lacked spirit, but practically the whole entry of lambs changed hands. Several lines of wethers failed to reach owner's- reserves. Two-tooth ewes, on account of the Alpass Estate, sold at 14s; other 2-tooth ewes from lis; 2-tooth wethers 10s Id to 13s; best shorn lambs 7s to 8s 6d, others 6s to 6s 3d;f.m. ewes, 8s; 4 and 6-tooth Lincoln rams, 4 guineas; aged rams, 10s.
