Discussing the parentage of Horace Rayner, who killed Mr Whiteley, the "Universal Provider," the Star says that Emily Turner's mother, in the course of an interview, declared that her daughter always told her that Mr George Rayner was not Horace's father. After the boy's birth Mr Whiteley and Mr Rayner quarrelled.
