' PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their fortnightly stock sale, held at Pahiatua, yesterday, as follows: Our list was confined to cattle, of which we had a full yarding, embracing all classes, and the fact of the quality being good and the recent serviceable rains of late had a very appreciable effect on the bidding, every pen with two exceptions selling under the hammer, the unsold lots changing hands before the close of the sale, with the result that we effected a complete clearance. Grown steers made from £5 10s to £5 15s, 3-year steers £4 to £4 10s, 2-year steers £3 to £3 10s, 18-month steers 47s to 555, yearlings 25s to 30s, forward cows 40s to 665, cows and calves £2 12s 6d, 2-year heifers 35s to 40s, yearling heifers 25s to 30s.
