CHURCH AND STATE. PARIS, December 24. The newspaper Temps recommends the Government to amend the Separation Act in order to give the use of churches to public worship associations instead of leaving decision to municipalities. The same journal also urges the abolition of the annual declarations under the Religious Worship Act. ROME, December 24. The Vatican, in a protest to the Powers, emphasizes that the law of France authorises public worship associations to be given rights belonging exclusively to the heirarchy.
