A WELL-STOCKED BOOT STORE.

Mr J. Carpenter's boot and shoe store, in Queen Street, presents a decidedly attractive appearance just now, being fully stocked with all manner of the latest and most fashionable footwear. The preparations for this \ season have been done on very solid lines, and the assortment of goods reflects great credit on the enterprising proprietor, The range of goods in the ladies' department is particularly good, all the best English and American makes being represented. Messrs C. P. Ford and Co.'s shoes, which have the new broad toes and Cubon heels, are very heavily stocked, as also ave English Bostock's in all varieties. A smart walking shoe is that made by the Krippendorf Ditlmann Company, while another firm that makes a specialty of ladies' and children's footwear, of a light, flexible and durable kind, is C. and'J. Clarks. The assortment of infants' footwear is decidedly striking, dainty white, blue, pink, brown, white satin, pale blue kid shoes, and buttoned boots being in endless variety. There is also a splendid line in children's red goat shoes. In connection with the latter shoe, a big stock of red cream has just been received, which is recommended as an excellent and effective polish. Ladies' tan lace shoes have also been specially imported, the varieties being six-strap, triple, twin, and one bar. These are all in the newest styles, and latest shades. In the men's department the range is equally as extensive, all the latest styles and qualities being strongly in evidence. Bostock's, C. and E. Lewis, "Progressive," and "Phitwell" brands, and Keith's "Walkovers" being worthy of special mention. In addition to the imported goods, there is also a fine range of colonial heavy, medium, and light footwear of excellent workmanship. In connection with the mail order department, patrons can rely on instructions being attended to with every promptitude.
