MASTERTON HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.

MONTHLY MEETING.

The monthly meeting of tbe Masterton Hospital Trustees, held yesterday morning was attended by Messrs A. W. Hogg M.H.R. (uhairman), W. Harris, J. 0. Ewington, W. Fisher and J. li. KoiSb. An apology for absence was leeeived from Mr B\ W. H. Rummer. Tbe Treasurer reported as follows: —-Reoeipts for tbe moqth, £1,265 Is 6d; disbursements, £971 9a 6d; or balance at last meeting, £lO5 Ss lOd; or balance at date, £399 Os 10a.

The matron's report on Probationer Wbisbaw, who had been ou three months' trial Ht tbe hospital 'was considered satisfactory, and it was deuided to appoint Miss Whisbaw a permanent probationer. It was deoided to appoint Nurse Stewart a third staff nurse at a salary of £35 per annum until she receives a hospital certificate, A vote oJthanks was aooorded to tbe Masterton urcbestral Society for their services in connection with providing funds for the furnishing of the hospital. The following renders were accepted for the ensuing year:—Bread, E. Polling; meat, OgiJvy and Sons; milk, P. Staples; tfjugs, T. G. Mason; funeral furnishings, Z. M. Hoar and Sons. The tenders for the supply of grooerie? were held over for a moatb.

Mr Harris was appointed visiting member for the montb.
