COLLISION IN THE ENGLISH CHANNEL.
A STEAMER SINKS. TWENTY-THREE SAILORS DROWNED. Received Ootober 31, 9.50 p.m. LONDON, Ootober 31. The German steamer Hermann, whioh sailed from Antwerp for the Mediterranean, sank in the English Channel after a collision with another vessel. Twenty - three sailors were drowned.
