VICTORIAN BiSTIING BILL. Received October 22, 10.3 C a.m. MELBOURNE, Ootober 22. Mr Bent, Premier of Victoria, states that it is intended to amend the Betting Bill so as to permit of wagering on racecourees on authorised days. Steps will be taken to preventjjnewspapers evading the law as regards publication of odds.
ACCIDENT AT A CYCLORAMA. Received Ootober 22, 10.30 a.m. MELBOURNE, Ootober 22. Marion Edwards, who was recently arrested in Brisbane for personating a man, while doing a sharpshooter's turn at a oyclorama, accidentally shot Mrs M'Leod, wife of another performer. The wounds are not serious.
