ILLEGAL REBATES ON RAILROADS.
NEW YORK, Ootober 21. Judge Holt, of the JUniied States Circut Court in New York, has fined the New York Central Railroad £21,600 sterling for granting rebates to the American Sugar Trust. Mr Pomeroy, assistant traffic manager, was lined £1,200. The judge deolared that the case exceeded in heinousness the vulgar crimes of sudden paßsion.
