The annual report read as follows:—In submitting the fourth annual report and balance-sheet ot the Mas*erton Cricket Club your committee regret that the balancesheet shows a loss of £3 5s on th& season. Had the outstanding subscriptions, amounting to £l, been collected, we should have had a credit balance of 15s. Your committee have much pleasure in notifying you of the success of the A team, which won the Senior Championship without suffering a defeat. Seven members of the club look part in the representative match against Hawke's Bay. The annual fixture was played with the Old Boys Club, Wellington, the match resulting in a draw! Tbo report and balance-sheet were adopted. The Chairman stated that ha would like to see the club's, liability wiped off, and he intimated bin intention to give £1 if other members made individual contributions of a small amount eaoh. >.,

The Management Committee were instructed to pay tbe account for material as soon as tbe necessary funds were available. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—Patron, Mr W. G. Beard; President, Mr W. H. L e Qalwey; Vice Presidents, Rev. A. M.Johnson Had Mr F. G. Moore; Management Committee, Messrs A. Bewley, A. E. Esson, W. Redmond, D. K. Logan, W. 0. Perry, 0. J. Maokellar; Selection Committee, Messrs T. Prow, A. E. Esoon and W. Redmond; Delegates to the Wairarapa Cricket Association, Messrs W. Redmond and C. J. Mackellar; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr A. E. Esson; Auditor, Mr D. E. Parton; Ground Committee, Messrs W. H. L. Galwey and F„ L U. Robertson. Messrs Forshawe, Morris, Claridge, M. D. Cameron, Dorset and, 0. G. Monro were elected members of tbe club. Mr W. Redmond, delegate to Ma meeting of the Wairarapa Cricket Association, reported that tl?e Association had agreed to accept the liability of a share" 1 (£50) iu connection with the visit of the English amateur team to New Zealand. The amount had been guaranteed by Messrs W. H. L. Galwoy, D. K. Logan and T. E. Maunseil. It was deoided that the two best cricketers at the Masterton District High School be admitted as members of the club free. Considerable discussion took place on tbe proposal to establish "local" cricket, that is, that matches he played only in Masterton. This WbS considered advisable owing to the bad state of the grounds in the South Wairarapa towns. If the cricketers from those towus desired to play the Masterton Club they would have to come to Masterton. It was considered probable that if "local" cricket were established there would be no difficulty in getting three teams in tbe field in Masterton, as there was every probability of the y.M.O.A. entering a senior team. The delegates to the Association were instructed to intimate to the Association that the Masterton Club would not play any matohes outside of Masterton. The Management Committee were appointed the club's delegates to the Masterton Cricket Council. Mr D. E. Parton thanked the olub, on behalf of tbe for the use of material during the last season. A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr F. G. Robertson for his seryices rendered to the olub as secretary.
