Herbert George Vibert and Giles Chamberlain were fined Is each and 28s oosts for failing to connect their premises with the Borough drainage system contrary to the Borough by-laws. Similar charges against Walter Perry, Richard Everuden and 0. L. Beale were adjourned to enable the workt in progress to be completed. Amelia Maokersey made a claim for maintenance against her husband, WiJliam Maokersey from whom, she said, she had been separated for 20 years. The case was adjourned for a fortnight in order that the police might make enquiries into the defendant's circumstances. Katherine Buokthougbt claimed from her husband, Ernest P. Buckthought, arrears of maintenance amounting to £3. Defendant asked thatjthe order previously made by the Court; against him for the maintenance of his wife should be cancelled. The Magistrate gave judgment for the wife in both cases, and ordered the defendant to pay the amouni due witbin a month, in default seven days' imprisonment.
