HOCKEY.
The seven a-side tournament between teams from the various clubs affiliated to the Wairarapa Thursday Association took place at Lansdowne yesterday. Altogether Ave were played, and the play was of an interesting nature. The 6nal game was played between the Kia Kaha A and the Kia Kaha B teams, and the result was a win for the former team by one goal to nil. A re-union of hookey players was held in the Raufurly Club last evening. Mr A. C. Major, President of the Wairarapa Hookey Association, presided. The following toast list was • honoured: "The King," "Wairarapa Hookey Association," "Winners of the Cup, 1906," "Referees," "Wairarapa Ladies' Hookey Association," "The President of the Association," "The Visitors," "The Hostesses." Several musical items were rendered during the course of a vory enjoyable evening.
